This is a guide to an evidence based self-assessment tool to identify whether leaders and line managers in your school show the behaviours known to be effective in supporting team members at work. Research shows that line management is crucial in developing a high-performance culture, where staff wellbeing and engagement is high.
The indicator tool takes the form of four specific questionnaires, all available on-line, with the aim of helping those using it to reflect upon their behaviours and management style.
These cover competencies identified as being important for leaders to prevent and reduce stress and improve productivity and performance in their staff. They will answer a range of questions in the way that most closely represents their level of agreement with each statement.
